Horai, daughters of Themis and Lord Zeus,
Eunomia and Dike and much-blessed
Eirene, many-colored spring meadows,
holy ones, sweet-smelling with flowery
breezes: the ever-blooming, beautiful
Horai, you circle ‘round dressed in dewy
clothes of blooming flowers. You are playmates
of holy Persephone, when the Fates
and the Graces lead in a circling dance
to the light, pleasing Zeus and the Mother
who gives fruit. Come, at our propitious sound
of holy rites for new initiates,
and blamelessly bring forth the good fruit
generated in suitable season.
